“Through an expired grant NSF ATM- 1127692, Martin Cuma and Anita Orendt were instrumental in enabling me to analyze very large data sets of photographs of hydrometeors in free fall. The amount of data I was collecting became a processing nightmare, and Martin and Anita progressively helped me navigate my MATLAB analysis from my laptop to my machines at CHPC to parallel processing on those machines to parallel processing on faster CHPC machines. They further introduced me to FastX, a critical tool for enabling me to do my work remotely with acceptable speeds.” -Tim Garrett, University of Utah faculty, on Utah ACI-REF’s Martin Cuma and Anita Orendt
